The Hottest Thing on the Catwalk Scene: Cara Delevingne

One British model is currently making waves in the fashion scene and THAT is Carla Delevingne.

Having dominated catwalks at Paris Fashion Week this year and graced the covers of various high profile fashion magazines, including Vogue UK and Vogue Korea, Delevigne’s name is growing in infamy.

Currently the face of Burberry’s beauty campaign, the young model has featured in advertising campaigns for brands that include Chanel.  She was also awarded the title of Model of the Year for 2012 at the British Fashion Awards.

If you have seen the recent cinema release of Anna Karenina starring Keira Knightley, you may be surprised to know it was Delevingne who played the role of Princess Sorokina, the marriage interest of Count Vronsky (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson).

Delevingne is being dubbed by industry insiders as “the next Kate Moss”.  With her striking looks and unruffled attitude, there’s little doubt this is more than just a possibility...

Kookai Live Runway Show - 7 March 2013

Kookai is my favourite Australian "high street style" label. I love the versatility of their pieces which can be worn for both work and play.  So you can imagine how elated I was when I found out they were putting on a "live stream" via their web page of their Autumn/Winter 2013 runway show held in Melbourne.

I tuned in this evening at 7.15 pm to watch Kookai preview its collection and I was not disappointed with what I witnessed.

With grungy leather, interesting prints, structured and asymmetrical cuts and a palette of monochrome, metallic, black and bold colours that heavily feature throughout, Kookai's collection would not have been out of place at Paris Fashion Week.

No doubt I will be purchasing a couple of pieces from this collection for my Autumn/Winter 2013 wardrobe!

Below are a sample of pictures taken from Kookai's Autumn/Winter 2013 look-book.

Celebrities previously sighted wearing her elegant creations include actresses Diane Kruger and Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Italian-born, London-based designer launched her first collection in 2011 and has already achieved tremendous success.  It is only a matter of time before her name is known in every household in which fashion matters.
