Vintage Chic

Some celebrities and models seem to have an uncanny ability to create an interesting but stylish look by mixing chic vintage pieces with high-street and designer fashion.  Living in Surry Hills, Sydney – the home of vintage shopping – I often peruse the local stores to find attention grabbing pre-loved pieces to re-home in my wardrobe.

Occasionally, I also peruse online sites such as “Etsy” or “Ebay” for those second-hand gems people - with no style - discard as “rejects”.

Using a bit of imagination, working carefully chosen pre-loved pieces into a modern day wardrobe can be easy (not to mention, economical).  When purchasing vintage, think oversized blazers and jackets from the 1980s, sequin tops and colourful scarves.  Items such as these can be teamed with block-coloured skirts, pants, dresses or denim to invent a unique look.
