Wardrobe Classics #3 - The Classic White Tee

Every woman needs a chic white tee that can be thrown over her favourite jeans for lazy days which demand style with minimal effort.

But…it can be tricky finding the right shaped tee for your body-type.

If your bust and hips are about the same width and your waist is much narrower, then you are an HOURGLASS shape.  Many styles of tee suit this type of figure, but keep right away from cuts that are baggy around the waist or you will lose your lovely defined shape.  Figure hugging tees are complimentary and round neck styles make your torso look long, emphasising the slimness of your waist.

If the bottom half of your body is wider than your shoulders, then you are a PEAR shape.  To balance out your hips and shoulders, wear a tee that either exaggerates the shoulders or draws attention to your bustline (i.e. a v-shape front).

If you are curvy and busty on the top half of your body, but your hips and legs are quite thin, then you are an APPLE shape. The trick with your shape is to avoid plunging necklines over-emphasising the bust area.  Choose a round neck tee that falls on or slightly above your hips to give your waist more definition.

If your body is slender but angular, then you are an ATHLETIC shape.  To create curves, select a tee that is low cut and draws attention to your bustline.  Also, wear a style that cuts off at your hips to enhance your waist.
