The eyes have it...

I recently booked myself in for a "smoky eye" make-up lesson at the Bobbi Brown counter in the Myer Sydney City Store. I am completely hopeless with makeup, let alone eye-makeup.  One past attempt at creating a smoky eye resulted in my friend asking, "What happened? Your eyes look all bruised".  After which I swiftly made my way to the bathroom to wash off what was clearly a make-up disaster!

So this evening, I attended my lesson to master the art of applying a smoky eye.  The girls at the Bobbi Brown counter were friendly and my "artist" really took the time to show me how to create a smoky eye that suited my facial features.  The lesson lasted about half an hour and, best of all, it was FREE!  Admittedly, I walked away with a couple of "Long Wear Cream Eyeshadows" (RRP $50 each) and a black "Long-Wear Eye Pencil" (RRP $35) so that I can attempt to recreate the look at home.  The pencil in particular is amazing as it glides on effortlessly for easy application.

I'm loving this look.  What do you think?
